Corner assembly

HR20’E was designed purposely as the first step in a series of vehicles designed to be simple and robust, with each preceding vehicle designed to innovate within one subsystem at a time to create a strong foundation from which vehicles can iterate from. This in mind, the corner assembly has been designed foremost to perform with a high degree of reliability. This translates to plush structural margins, conservative bearing lifetimes, and prolonged fatigue life.

  • In-house machined 6061 T-651 aluminum uprights

  • Custom designed water jet steel rotors

  • Center locking wheel

  • In-house machined wheel hub with tripod housing, post processed with a hard anodize surface treatment

  • OZ Formula Student Magnesium CL 10” Wheels
