FSAE Lincoln 2018

For a majority of our members, FASE Lincoln 2018 was their first time competing. Most of the events went extremely well. Our car flew through tech inspection on our first try, and we passed sound check, brake check, and the tilt test with flying colors

Unfortunately, in our last run of the acceleration event our engine seized which lead to a need for an engine swap. Luckily we were fortunate enough to have brought a spare engine with us and were able to complete an entire engine swap within 4 hours and re-tech our car in time for the final event of competition, endurance.

The morning of our last day, we took part in the endurance race. This event started out very strong but ended prematurely for us due to a failure in the rear brake system.

Despite the unfortunate circumstances, we finished within the top 50 teams. We had a lot of success with regard to all of the other events that we were able to compete in, and our team was able to overcome challenges. We learned a lot about our car, our team, and the competition as a whole and cant wait till next year.
